The Tax Parcel Numbers layer shows the Skagit County parcel identification number as assigned by the Skagit County Assessor. The parcel identification number is a unique identification number that links to additional information in the Assessor database, such as, owner name, property value, and much more. Be aware that, like addresses, these numbers can be deleted so using them in other databases can be risky without implementing a synchronization system.

Skagit County maps and data are created from public records and existing data sources. Records and data have been adjusted to achieve a "best fit" registration to create Skagit County maps. While great care is taken in this process, records and data from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features. The relative positioning of map and data features to one another results from combining different sources without ground truthing. Maps and data are approximate and are not designed to be accurate to surveying or engineering standards. Spatial accuracy errors do exist as a result.
