Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><P><SPAN>The Tax Parcels Layer “Property Category” represents Assessor Tax Parcels. They were created for the County Assessor to represent tax segregations. They do not represent "buildable lots". For example, if a parcel is placed in the "open space taxation program", it may be segmented into two pieces. One piece is taxed for "open space" while the other is reserved for "residential" use. This shows up as a parcel with a boundary line separating the different tax designations. This information is updated on a weekly basis.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>Skagit County maps and data are created from public records and existing data sources. Records and data have been adjusted to achieve a "best fit" registration to create Skagit County maps. While great care is taken in this process, records and data from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features. The relative positioning of map and data features to one another results from combining different sources without ground truthing. Maps and data are approximate and are not designed to be accurate to surveying or engineering standards. Spatial accuracy errors do exist as a result.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>Maps and data are for informational purposes only.
